Leading the change towards more sustainable transportation systems in our cities

An outstanding transport system implies an effective integration between multimodal mobility solutions that combine motorised and non-motorised mobility, as well as good design of public spaces in terms of beauty, accessibility, safety and attractiveness, and a digital infrastructure that allows people to decide at every moment which is the best mode in service for each trip they need to make. If that is an easy answer about an efficient transport system, why is it so difficult for cities to implement? This session will discuss possible strategies to improve urban mobility through multimodal integration, behavioural change and public sector support.
