Paralela 1

Entrepreneurship, and thus startups, represent an increasingly frequent economic phenomenon in today’s cities and are a key strategy for driving economic growth, creating new jobs, and fostering a culture of innovation. Bogotá, like other Latin American cities, is positioning itself as a hub for talent, innovation, and the development of technological solutions, highlighting its strong potential in science, technology, and innovation. This collective effort involves governments, businesses, and society. The session will discuss how the entrepreneurial ecosystem is being promoted, the main challenges regarding access to financing, and what policies and programs support and encourage entrepreneurship, among other issues.
