Mr. Axel Pérez-Obiol Castañeda

Axel was trained as a nuclear physicist at Universitat de Barcelona, with a Ph.D. in nuclear weak interactions. He then spent seven years researching as a postdoc at the Nuclear Physics institute in Prague and at Kochi University of Technology in Japan in the fields of condensed matter and mathematical physics. Since 2021 Axel works as a senior researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, focusing his investigations in quantum algorithms for quantum matter.
