Bio
Doctor in Natural Sciences from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, he carried out his doctoral thesis at the Max-Planck Institute for Plasma Physics. Author of more than 200 scientific publications with more than 16,000 accumulated citations, he has been awarded, among others, the Landau-Spitzer award or the Manuel Losada Villasante award for excellence in research and is currently the director of the Laboratory of Plasma Sciences and Fusion Technology of the University of Seville.
