Pilar Domingo Calap leads the Environmental and Biomedical Virology Group at I2SysBio (UV-CSIC), focused on the use of viruses as biomedical and biotechnological tools. She leads >10 projects and has >60 publications. She has received awards such as the Young Virologist Award (SEV), the Zendal International Award and the Dependence and Society Award from the Caser Foundation. She is a founding partner and scientific director of Evolving Therapeutics, a spin-off focused on phage-based solutions.
