Biography
Adriana Soto is an economist with over 20 years of experience in environmental public policies and climate change. She graduated from Universidad de los Andes, where she earned a diploma in High Government and a master's in Public Policy. She has held roles such as Deputy Minister for Environment of Colombia and Director for Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru at The Nature Conservancy. She has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and a senior advisor for the Wildlife Conservation Society. Recently, she joined the 2023 Antarctica expedition, focused on female leadership in science. As of January 2024, she is Bogotá’s Secretary for Environment, aiming to make the city a model of climate resilience and sustainability.
