In 1840 Apartments we own two buildings in downtown Barcelona, one next to the other. In all, there are 25 apartments with different personalities. All of them are quite impressive, in fact they are listed buildings. One of the buildings preserves most of the details of the original construction of 1840, and in its apartments the colourful floor tiles, high ceilings and cozy fireplaces stand out. The second building has been completely refurbished with a modern and designer’s appeal. The furniture, designed by Mies Van Der Rohe or Philippe Stark for Kartell, add a fresh but sophisticated style.
